Pontelagoscuro, Ferrara

After the first 2020 lockdown, the client had to temporarily suspend his nightclub activity, deciding to transform the outdoor area of the disco into an en plein air restaurant. The preliminary design takes form through the investigation of the ruins of the former disco - once know as “Tutankamon” and then “Gatto e la Volpe”, on a site adjacent to the river Po, between Emilia-Romagna and Veneto. The project strategy acts in an archaeological way, unearthing new areas and burying others, working on landscape and green masses rather than on the buildings.
